SAN JOSE, CA– The Unity Care Group, a community-based, non-profit multi-service agency for foster youth, is proud to announce our strategic affiliation with the Seneca Family of Agencies, one of California largest providers of innovative education, mental health, community-based and family-focused treatment services for children and families.
Unity Care and Seneca share the same vision for service in an integrated community-engaged approach with high standards of practice. There is a strong alignment in core values between the two agencies allowing for the enhancement of services provided throughout California. Unity Care is highly regarded as a community based, culturally responsive agency that engages well with communities of color. Seneca has a long history of providing high quality clinical services and unconditional care to children and families who are at risk for family disruption.
Both agencies are founder driven with more than a 20-year relationship between Unity Care’s founder André Chapman and Seneca’s founder Ken Berrick. This new relationship brings together a combined 58 years of expertise in serving the community and leading their respective agencies.
“Through this new affiliation, we are excited to leverage Seneca’s extensive operational and clinical expertise in behavioral health services. We are committed to providing high quality services with greater impact for the youth and families our agencies both serve,” said André Chapman, CEO of the Unity Care Group.
“Unity Care provides culturally proficient supportive housing for youth aging out of foster care. We recognize that a secure, reliable place to live is essential for supportive services to take hold, ” said Ken Berrick, CEO of Seneca Family of Agencies.
