After years of providing life changing services to youth and families, Unity Care Group, Inc. is celebrating its 15th Anniversary by hosting an Open House event. The celebration comes at a time when the non-profit organization continues its efforts to develop quality services for underserved at-risk youth by launching new programs and expanding its services geographically.
Our 15th Anniversary celebration gives Unity Care the opportunity to pause and recognize those pioneers who have partnered with us in our journey in serving America’s most vulnerable children, those who reside in the Foster Care System.
We will present the “Unity Care Trail Blazer” awards to Assembly member Jim Beall Jr., representing the 24th Assembly District, Lisa Sobrato Sonsini of the Sobrato Family Foundation and Vivian Frelix-Hart, City of San Jose Department of Housing for their longtime commitment to serving Foster Youth.
“It’s amazing to know that only 15 years ago, on August 13th, 1993, Unity Care opened the doors to our first residential treatment home and I’m extremely proud that today we have grown to provide eighteen different programs for at-risk youth and families throughout Northern California.
We couldn’t have reached this critical milestone without our dedicated staff, and Board of Directors as well as our many community and County partners. State, city and county elected officials, county and community partners, past youth and Unity Care supporters are expected to attend. Unity Care program staff from across the agency will host information booths to celebrate, showcase and promote our unique programs. Highlighted programs from all four service areas include: Community and Educational, Mental Health, Residential and After Care Services.
The 15th Anniversary Open House will take place at our home office in San Jose.
