Join us in welcoming our Director of Mental Health Services, Ruth A. Gammon, PhD, LCSW, and our Director of Residential & Clinical Services Tina M. James, MSW, LCSW.
Dr. Gammon officially joins the Unity Care family on Dec 14, 2009 as the Director of Mental Health Services. Ruth has over 25 years of experience in both public and private non-profit mental health agencies. Recently, she served as the Clinical Director/Director of Training at Edgewood Center for Children and Families located in San Francisco. Prior to Edgewood, she served as the Team Developer on the Wraparound Pilot program for San Mateo County Mental Health Department. She has solid clinical expertise and experience in Outpatient Services, Wraparound and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS). She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) from San Francisco State University. Additionally, she is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Social Worker. Ruth will oversee the agency’s Residential, Mental Health and Community Services Departments at Unity Care. Ruth will report to Andre’ Chapman, President and CEO.
Tina M. James, MSW, LCSW, joins us from our Monterey County Wraparound & TBS program and will now oversee the agency’s Residential and Clinical Services Department. Tina has over twenty-eight (28) years of experience providing clinical therapy to the mentally ill, psychiatric assessments, supervising a rehabilitation services team, as a hospice and medical social worker for in home health, a founder and CEO of a national registry for social workers and mental health professionals. She holds a Master of Social Work from San Diego State University and is accredited with an LCSW from the State of California.
Tina will be joining Rhonda Staton, Director of Community Services and Kate Pahinui, Director of Wraparound Services in solidifying the clinical leadership of the agency under the guidance of Dr. Gammon.
